Are You Struggling With Your Relationship with Alcohol or Drugs?

Do you question if your drinking habits have gone too far? Have you outgrown your friends' partying ways? Are you wanting to cut back on your substance use but don’t feel like AA or a treatment facility is the right choice for you?

Have you noticed yourself increasingly engaging in negative life patterns, such as:

  • Drinking more than you intend to at a casual gathering with friends?

  • Smoking weed alone to pass the time or fall asleep?

  • Wanting to cut back but not knowing how?

  • Regretting your behavior after a night of drinking?

Maybe you’ve been having issues finding community and feel exhausted by the idea of needing to make new friends. Or maybe you know that your relationship with alcohol is unhealthy, but your friends enable you to continue to drink. You may have wanted to make some important changes for a while but have started feeling hopeless that things will ever change. If so, we can help.

If so, we can help.

Binge Drinking is Alarmingly Common, Especially For Women

One thing is clear: women are drinking more than ever. High-risk drinking, defined as having four or more drinks at least one day a week, rose for women by 58% from 2001 to 2013, according to a 2017 study by the journal JAMA Psychiatry.

When everyone in your social circle seems to be drinking the same amount or more, and when drinking is glamorized in the media and by alcohol industry advertisements and promotions, it’s easy to think that regular alcohol use is normal and difficult to recognize when your drinking becomes excessive and unhealthy.

We offer an alternative to the normalization of substances in our society.

We help you build greater trust in yourself and learn real coping skills to be with yourself. We offer a space to question your relationship with substances deeply. And gain tools to bounce back, sit with your feelings, give yourself self-compassion, and be in deeper connection with yourself.

You May Still Have Some Questions About Substance Abuse Counseling…

  • Substance use counseling is a collaborative journey focused on exploring your relationship with substances and understanding the deeper aspects of your experiences. Unlike traditional therapy, it specifically tailors interventions to address patterns related to substance use, offering a more targeted approach.

  • Substance use counseling is not exclusively for those in crisis. It provides a supportive space for individuals who are "sober curious," offering tools and insights to navigate the complexities of conscious living. Whether you're seeking moderation or complete sobriety, counseling can be a guiding light on your path.

  • Holistic substance use counseling goes beyond talk therapy. We integrate mindfulness practices, somatic techniques, and spiritual exploration to address mind, body, and spirit connection. This comprehensive approach empowers you to foster a deeper understanding of yourself and your journey.

  • The counseling process is flexible and respects your unique journey. Whether you're contemplating complete sobriety or exploring a gradual shift, we work collaboratively to create a personalized plan that aligns with your goals, values, and the pace that feels right for you.

  • Absolutely! Our approach resonates with individuals in their mid-20s to mid-30s who are navigating a more awakened life. Whether or not addiction is a part of your history, we focus on supporting your exploration of a more mindful and intentional way of life.

  • Creating a judgment-free space is foundational to our practice. We approach your journey with compassion, empathy, and a deep understanding that everyone's path is unique. You can openly share your experiences, concerns, and aspirations without fear of judgment.

  • Absolutely. We understand the importance of community in your journey. While counseling is a personal process, we provide resources and opportunities for connection, helping you build a supportive community that aligns with your values and aspirations for a conscious and sober lifestyle outside of therapy sessions.
